Supposed Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 specs list

Samsung is in line to follow up its Galaxy A Series of devices – be it the unannounced Galaxy A7 or the already announced Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones with another line of devices simply known as the Galaxy E Series.

Two handset from the Galaxy E Series line has been making rounds lately – the Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) and Galaxy E7 (SM-E700). Not much has been revealed about this devices but in a new report the basic specs sheet of both devices has been unveiled.

The Samsung Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) is expected to pack a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels Super AMOLED display, powered by the 64-bit Quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 which clocks at 1.2GHz, 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera and a 2300mAh battery.

The Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) Is expected to be around 6.9mm thin, weighs 140 grams and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI ontop.

The Samsung Galaxy E7 (SM-E700) on the other hand is expected to pack a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 pixels Super AMOLED display, powered by the same 64-bit snapdragon 410 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of in-built storage, 13MP rear camera, front facing 5MP camera and a 2950mAh battery.

The Galaxy E7 (SM- E700) is expected to measure 7.2mm in thickness, weighs around 140 grams or more and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Both devices are among the fist set of devices to be running Android Lollipop from the onset. It is still not clear if these device would have same metal body build like the Galaxy A series; if they turn out to have same body build then there would be sporting virtually the same specs.

Both the Galaxy E5 and E7 is looking likely not to have an expandable internal storage (no microSD card slot), but they definitely have non-removable batteries.

Except the Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung has yet to upgrade its flagship devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop; this means both Galaxy E Series would still be a long way from announcement (probably Q1 or Q2 2015).
