HP Chromebook 14 with Full HD touchscreen display available online

HP has followed on its promise to released a touchscreen Model of the Chromebook 14 and it would also come with a Full HD display.  HP had announced new versions of its Chromebook 11 and Chromebook 14 devices at the IFA 2014 in Berlin back in September. The chromebooks came in different arrays of colours and used the much hyped Nvidia Tegra K1 processor.

The HP Chromebook 14 is one of the very few chromebooks to feature a Full HD display; a touchscreen display or even both feature combined in one Chromebook.

The laptop is known with the model name and number – HP Chromebook 14-x050nr . It packs 4GB of RAM, 32GB eMMC storage and a microSD card reader. Under the hood is the Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with the company’s Kepler architecture based GPU.

The 14-inch display has a (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD WLED-backlit touchscreen display. It supports 2×2 802.11ac Wi-Fi, 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI port and Bluetooth connectivity. The keyboard is the Full-size Island-style; a HD Webcam, weighs 1.71kg, measures 342.9 x 241.3 x 17.78 mm and uses a 37Wh battery which provides around 8 hours of straight usage.

The Chromebook 14-x050nr with Full HD touchscreen display is available from HP for $440.
