Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 phablet specs surfaces; back panel leaks

Some weeks ago, details surfaced that Xiaomi is working LTE enabled smartphone which would cost $65 and the successor to the Redmi Note Phablet. New image leaks have showed the back panel of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 alongside some of its anticipated specs details.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 would have a some bump in specs compared to its predecessor. It keeps the same 5.5-nch display with the resolution increased to 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is expected to pack the either the Mediatek MT6752 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (both are 64-bit Octa-core SoC).

The device would use 2GB of RAM alongside 16GB of internal storage. On the rear is a 13MP camera and there is a front facing 5MP camera also on-board. The Redmi Note 2 would run on Android 4.4 kitkat OS with the company’s MIUI 6 running on top. The battery is said to be higher than 3000mAh; probably the long rumored 4500mAh.

The specs just detailed is in sharp contrast to the earlier specs we go our hands on. It detailed the device to feature the same 5.5-inch display, with 3GB of RAM,  octa-core MT6595 processor, 8MP front camera, 20.7MP rear camera, 4G LTE, NFC and a 4500mAh battery.

The internal storage options includes – 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB; each storage variant was expected to cost $165, $215, $245 respectively with the price of the 128GB version unknown. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 could launch by January 2015 (between 21st and 28th). Until the device goes official, more and more details could still surface concerning the Redmi Note 2.
