Onda V919 3G Air – Dual Booting OS, Windows 8.1, Aluminium Unibody, 3G connectivity, $200

The Chinese smartphone market was (is still) famous for cloned devices and that doesn’t look likely to stop at least for now. But the likes of Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei and ZTE are putting their country on the map with quality devices.

The Apple iPad Air 2 is one of the best tablet to grace 2014 in terms of functionality and design; little wonder it made it into the our Top Ten tablets of 2014 and even going as far as taking the first position. But the iPad Air 2 doesn’t come cheap, it’s natural people will look for a similar alternative or possible a clone.

Here is where the China made Onda V919 3G Air comes in, the tablet has a premium look with its Aluminium unibody and is more cost effective to the iPad Air 2. The tablet is available for $193 and has 3G connectivity plus 64GB of internal storage; the iPad Air 2 with 16GB internal storage with Wi-Fi costs $500 only.

Moving to the specs, the Onda V919 3G Air packs a 9.7-inch 4:3 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T Z3736F which clocks up to 2.16GHz with 2GB of RAM. There is a front facing 2MP camera and a rear facing 5MP camera.

The Onda V919 3G Air Dual-boots Android 4.4 Kitkat and Windows 8.1 OS; user can easily switch from both OS with the touch of a button. The tablet supports standard connectivity suite but no LTE and there is a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB of more storage.

Onda did a very good job of copying the iPad Air 2 spec for spec (word for word) and the only thing they couldn’t copy was the Touch ID, the iOS 8 and the Apple A8 system chipset. Asides that the Onda V919 3G Air is a very solid tablet and you probably won’t mind it’s a clone in the end for its sub-$200 price tag. You can also checkout the Telecast T98 4G and T98 3G Air which are both iPad clones also.

  1. If let me choose from Onda v919 3G air, teclast t98 4g and teclast x98 air 3g, I will choose the last one tinydeal.com/teclast-x98-air-3g-97-android-44-win81-z3736f-tablet-phone-p-141878.html , because it also has dual os, which also must has better performance than Onda v919 3G air, and the power of device also can last for longer time than onda as well.
