BLU Vivo Air, Studio Energy, Life One, Life One XL, Studio X, Studio X Plus and Studio G

BLU is popular for its affordable unlocked devices in the US and this time around is no different as the company announced Seven smartphones at the CES 2015. The smartphones announced are the BLU Vivo Air, BLU Studio Energy, BLU Life One, BLU Life One XL, BLU Studio X, BLU Studio X Plus and BLU Studio G.

BLU Vivo Air

The BLU Vivo Air is more or less a repackaged Gionee S5.1 which would make its debut in the US. The device maintains its 5.1mm thinness and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The Vivo air features a 4.8-inch 720 x 1280 pixels Super AMOLED display, powered by an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 with Mali 450 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.

Other features includes – 2100mAh battery, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, microUSB and Bluetooth 4.0 . The BLU Vivo Air would be available  in Black-Gun Metal and White Gold colour option from Amazon and other retailers for $199 from Mid-January. 

BLU Studio Energy

BLU Studio Energy has some semblance with the Gionee Marathon M3 especially in terms of battery capacity. The both use a 5000mAh battery which also allows other devices charge from the smartphone. The device is expected to last 4days of battery life; 45 days of standby time and 52 hours of talktime.

Specs-wise the BLU Studio Energy features a 5.0-inch 720p HD display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek, Mali 400 GPU, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a microSD card slot (up to 64GB), OTG Reverse charge, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 21Mbps 3G HSPA+. It measures 10.4mm in thickness, available in Gray, Blue, Gold & White colour option for $190 at the end of the month.

BLU Life One and Life One XL

BLU also outsed two smartphone in the Life One series – Life One (2nd Gen) and Life One XL. The formers uses a 5-inch display while the latter uses a 5.5-inch display both both uses a HD resolution which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. 

Both device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop); 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 with Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and standard connectivity suite (3G connectivity inclusive). 

The BLU Life one measures 7.6mm in thickness with a 2420mAh battery while the BLU Life One XL measures 8.3mm in thickness with a 2820mAh battery. The former would be available for $180 while the latter is available for $200 by the end of March.

BLU Studio X and Studio X Plus

The BLU Studio X (X Plus inclusive) are cheaper alternatives to the Life One and One XL. Both devices uses the same 5-inch and 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a HD resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot. However they are both powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek M6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU.

Both device are rather bulky as they measure 10.5mm and 10.6mm in thickness respectively. The Studio X uses a 2100mAh battery capacity while the latter uses a 2600mAh battery; however both device run Android 4.4 kitkat OS which is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is available in Blue, Black, Gold, Pink, White colour option for $130 and $150 respectively by the End of the month.

BLU Studio G

The Last of the Seven smartphones is the BLU Studio G, which would be coming at the end of the month for under $100 ($90 precisely) and comes with Android Kitkat which makes the jump to Android Lollipop.

It features basically a 5-inch 480 x 854 pixels display, with 512MB of RAM, uses the same MediaTek chipset as the Studio X series, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, 5MP main camera, 2Mp rear camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 2000mAh battery. It is available in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and White colour options.
