We were initially made to believe that the Coolpad Dazen X7 would be made entirely of glass but there seems to be some truth in it. The Coolpad Dazen X7 indeed has Dual Glass sides and the Aluminium frame around the body gives it a premium body finish. The design is said to be inspired by the Louvre Glass Pyramid.
The Coolpad Dazen X7 features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. The smartphone is said to be powered by two chipset models – one with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and the other with a 2.3GHz Mediatek MT6595 processor.
There is a 13MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, 28mm wide angle lens and LED flash. Whilst not forgetting the front facing 8MP camera which gives the inspiration of taking selfies. The Coolpad Dazen X7 supports 3G and 4G connectivity, measures 6.45mm in thickness, uses a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB and nano SIM card slot(s).
The Coolpad Dazen X7 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Cool UI 6.0 ontop. There would be three versions of the device – one with Mobile 4G support, another with double 4G version as well as a full 4G. The first two version would use the MediaTek SoC while the latter version would us the Qualcomm 801 SoC.
The three versions of the Coolpad Dazen X7 are available for CNY 1599 ($257), CNY 1699 ($273) and CNY 1999 ($323) respectively and are expected to go on sale starting January 15 in China.
