Philippines based OEM, Torque has announced a new interesting device – the Torque Droidz Pivot; it comes with a rotating camera and comes in only pink colour option which means it is obviously targeted at the feminine population.
The Torque Droidz Pivot features a 5-inch (540 x 960 pixels) qHD IPS LCD display, powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. Even though it is not listed, the storage is possibly expandable.
The main camera is a 8MP unit which we mentioned above is a rotating camera which has a 180-degree rotating angle. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack (which is available by the side), Dual SIM slots and GSM/WCDMA.
The Torque Droidz Pivot runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 1700mAh battery. The device is said to be available in its home country (Philippines) for $110.
The company also announced the Torque Droidz Swivel which also comes with a rotating camera. It features a 4.7-inch qHD IPS LCD display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of storage.
The main camera on the Torque Droidz Swivel is a 8MP CMOS sensor which rotates up to 180-degrees; it runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, supports WCDMA/GSM, Dual SIM functionality and 1700mAh battery. It is priced at $101 and shares same connectivity options as the Droidz Pivot.
