Ever before the launch of the iPad Air 2, there had been several Intel that Apple was looking to debut a 12.9-inch display sized iPad alongside the super slim iPad Air 2. This however didn’t happen due to production issues according to sources.
Even though several sources claim the 12.9-inch iPad would be called the iPad Pro; this new information is claiming the upcoming tablet would be called the iPad Plus.
The iPad Plus would be extremely light as it would weigh less than 700 grams and incredibly thin at just 7mm thin. Alongside the 12.9-inch Display it would have a 2K display resolution (that’s 2560 x 1440 pixels). It would also pack a 11000mAh battery which is said to be the 1.5 times more than the iPad Air 2. It would also come compatible with third party protective keyboard cases.
The report also adds that Apple is looking to expand its smartphone range into three display sizes – which would see a 4-inch iPhone join the already available 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.
Finally, the report states that Apple would scrap the disappointing iPad Mini 3 and would replace it with the iPad Mini 4 but the iPad Mini 2 would still be available for purchase on shelves.
There is no official confirmation for any of these so treat them like rumours; but some rumours just refuses to die fast.
