So far the blogosphere has been saturated with talks of flagship devices from HTC and Samsung which would both debut at the MWC 2015. On HTC’s path we have confirmation that the company would announce the HTC One M9, the One M9 Plus and a smartwatch known as HTC Petra is also coming from the Company.
Thanks to @upleaks, we have word on a new device from the company dubbed the HTC One M8i (M8_QL) which could end up being the HTC One Mini 3 or the HTC One M9 Mini. The former name is more likely judging from the fact that the One M8 has a mini variant known as the One Mini 2.
The HTC One M8i (One Mini 3) features a 5-inch Full HD display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 615 MSM8939 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot on board which could theoretically add up to 128GB additional space.
On the rear it has a Duo Camera Setup (13MP + 2MP) with Dual LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The device would keep the same dimensions and weight as the One M8 (146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm; 160grams). Upfromt we have the Boomsound speakers; NFC and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity options, would pack a battery less than 3000mAh and run on Android 5.0 with Sense 7.0 Ontop.
Whether the HTC One M8i (M8_QL) would be made of plastic or aluminium body is unknown but it would be available in Grayscale, Gold and Silver colour options. The listing further suggest there would be variants – M8_QL TUHL which would be for Asia and the M8_QL UL for Europe.
