Refreshed version of the Lumia 635 will sport 1GB RAM

Even though there is no official word yet, an unannounced version of the Lumia 635 (Nokia Lumia 635) with 1GB of RAM has appeared in a product listing in Hungary with the name – Nokia Lumia 635 1GB. And we could be seeing this device at the MWC 2015.

It is a well known fact that Microsoft usually empowers its entry-level Lumia devices with 512 of RAM, but starting with the new (recent) entry-level devices – the Microsoft Lumia 435 and Lumia 535 the company has upped the RAM to 1GB.

It looks like Microsoft is about to extent that gesture to the previously announced Microsoft Lumia 635 too. The device is expected to be available on contract only for now as an unlocked version is not detailed. A list of ROMs on Microsoft Servers is also said to have confirmed these claims. The device would be available on a number of Wireless carrier – Wind, TIM, SFR, Telekom, Movistar and others.

The Nokia Lumia 635 1GB will now sport a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display, powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB). The device has a main 5MP camera only without flash and all of these are all backed by a 1830mAh battery.

Most entry-level devices with 512MB of RAM worked smoothly with the recently announced Windows 10 OS for mobile but some apps seems to only open on devices with 1GB of RAM. This may have prompted the company to make this move.
