Samsung is not only working hard at its next flagship smartphone the Galaxy S6 and it’s edge counterpart, the Galaxy S6 Edge. The company is also working hard on its tablets and so far we have heard that new tablets would be coming from the Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab S family.
Specifically the Samsung Galaxy Tab S would arrive in two screen sizes – the 8-inch and the 9.7-inch. We have now seen more detailed Samsung Galaxy Tab S 9.7 (SM-T815) specs – which is the larger variant.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S (SM-T815) as listed on GFXBench sports a 9.6-inch Super AMOLEd display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Under the hood we’ll have the Exynos 5 octa-core chipset (four Cortex A53 cores + four Cortex A57 cores) with a hexa-core Mali-T760 GPU chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB space of internal storage (only 25GB is user available).
There is a 8MP main camera on the rear capable of recording 1080p videos but there is no word if it would have Flash. There is a front 2MP snapper on-board too for selfies.
This version of the Galaxy Tab S (SM-T815) looks likely to come with cellular connectivity (Wi-Fi + Data (3G or 4G) while the previous version seen Galaxy Tab S (SM-T810) is the Wi-Fi Only version. The slate runs Android 5.0 OS out-of-the box and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI would definitely be sprinkled ontop it.
There is no leaked images for now but Samsung is aid to be gunning for the Apple’s iPad offerings but launching a tablet with metal body and slimmer profile.
