Japanese industrial partners (JIP) which currently own the Vaio brand has announced that the Vaio smartphone would launch on March 12 and it is likely the device is showcased at the Mobile World Congress.

Even though the company didn’t reveal much of the specs; the device has surfaced on Benchmark listing with the model number JCI VA-10J. It would be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 (64-bit) which clocks at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.

It is expected to sport a microSD card slot with 5MP front camera, a main 13MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Single SIM slot and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Towards the end of last year, we brought news that Vaio is working on an affordable 5-inch smartphone which would run Android OS and was expected to debut at the CES 2015 but that was not feasible. But we should surely see the device at the MWC 2015.
