HTC only announced its flagship smartphone – One M9 at the MWC 2015 other smartphones tipped to launch at the event didn’t see its launch. One of those devices is the rumoured HTC A55 that was said to be a desire range flagship.
Well, the smartphone with the codename HTC A55 is not a desire range smartphone, rather it is the HTC One E9. The One E9 is expected to debut by late March in China and the company will release a lot of Chinese exclusive smartphones this year to increase their penetration into that market.
The HTC One E9 specs sheet says alot; it is rumoured to be the company’s first smartphone with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display – sitting on a 5.5-inch screen and is expected to have a plastic body. Under the hood, is a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2.0GHz with 32GB space of internal storage and 3GB of RAM.
The One E9 would run Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with Sense 7.0 UI from the company expected to be laced ontop. Other details includes 20MP main camera, 4MP Ultrapixel or 13MP front facing camera, Bluetooth 4.1 and BoomSound speakers. It would have its own Dot view case as well as leather case and clear case.
The battery powering the device is reported to be less than 3000mAh in capacity. Previous reports suggested it would have single SIM and Dual SIM options – with China and Asian markets getting the Dual SIM version and the Single SIM version would be available in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) markets.
The smartphone would be available in White Rose Gold, Metallic Gray and Brown Gold colour options.
