Archos 70 Cesium Lite Specs surfaces, to cost $79

Archos has a Windows 8 OS based tablet in the works; the slate in question is the Archos 70 Cesium Lite – it would rock a 7-inch display and is expected to rival the already available HP Stream 7 and Toshiba Encore Mini.

The Archos 70 Cesium Lite sports a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by an Intel bay Trail  which clocks at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB). The main camera is expected to be a 2MP unit and the front camera is a VGA (0.3MP) unit.

The slate would definitely run on Windows 8.1 OS, should be able to run Windows 10 OS when it becomes available. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery which is expected to last long enough. Most of the details we have suggest the tablet is an entry-level one.

Compared to competition – the Archos 70 Cesium Lite has almost the same specs as the Encore Mini from Toshiba and Stream 7 from HP; but the Stream 7 edge the other with some minute details in specifications.

The pricing for the device is tipped to be around $79/€79/£69 ( the same price the HP Stream 7 sells for)  and could launch around March or April.
