Considering Toshiba’s moderate success in its tablet division, the Japanese company has announced a budget android tablet, the 7-inch Toshiba Excite Go. The Excite Go runs on Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS and it competes aggressively with the HP 7 Plus Tablet.
The Toshiba Excite Go features a 7-inch 1024 X 600 pixels resolution display, powered by Intel Atom quad-core processor, 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB with micro SD card support and 1GB of RAM. The Toshiba Excite Go weighs 354g, will come pre-loaded with full version of the Office Suite PRO. According to Toshiba, the Excite Go has a battery capacity of 8 hours of usage and 6.5 hours of video playback in a single charge.
The Excite Go runs on Android 4.4 Kit Kat unlike the HP 7 Plus Tabletwhich runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. In terms of general specs, the Excite Go is slightly ahead of the HP 7 Plus but both tablets are budget android slates.
