Acer has taken the wraps of a new entry-level smartphone in the Liquid series ahead of its planned April 23rd  conference scheduled for New York. Naturally, the Liquid Z410 is the company first device to use a 64-bit SoC, so it is expected to have a successor. The Acer Liquid Z410 plus packs a 64-bit Quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor which clocks at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali T760 GPU, 2GB of RAM  and 16GB space of internal storage. The display size and resolution remains the same – a 4.5-inch (960 X 540 pixels) qHD resulting in a pixel density of 245ppi and there is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion.

On the rear the device has a 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera. Connectivity options on the device remains the same – Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB 2.0, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4 – up to 150Mbps download speed).

The Acer Liquid Z410 Plus is Dual SIM enabled, runs Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS (upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS by Q2 2015) and a pair of DTS sound speakers. It weighs 145gram, measures 136 X 66.7 X 9.9mm in dimensions and is backed by a removable 2000mAh battery which provides around 400 hours of standby time.

The difference between the Acer Liquid Z410 and the Liquid Z410 Plus comes in the aspects of RAM (the latter has its RAM doubled from 1GB to 2GB), Storage and a bigger battery capacity resulting in a longer battery life.

The Acer Liquid Z410 Plus would also come with AcerRAPID Key feature, Quick Touch feature, Quick Mode and others. While the Liquid Z410 will retain its €129, the Liquid Z410 Plus is priced for €169 and would be available later this month.
