HTC One M9+ goes official with fingerprint scanner and Duo Camera Setup

As anticipated, HTC has announced the One M9+ smartphone in an event in Beijing, China. The HTC One M9+ has been in the news even before the One M9 was announced at the MWC 2015 in March.

The HTC One M9+ features a 5.2-inch (2560 X 1440 pixels) Quad HD LCD display resulting a pixel density of 565ppi. The company’s familiar front facing HTC BoomSound speakers with 5.1 Dolby Audio is on-board. There is a fingerprint scanner on the home button which would support AliPay in China and has multi-directional sensors which allows the device to be unlocked in different directions.

The One M9+ is powered by the MediaTek Helio X10. Core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage and there is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion up to 128GB.

The device makes use of a Duo camera as the main camera – the rear facing 20MP f/2.2 camera with secondary lens on top for depth-sensing. The front camera is the Ultrapixel Camera with f/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm wide-angle lens which should appeal to selfies lovers.

The HTC One M9+ runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense UI 7.0 ontop, China Sense for setting different themes and creating themes for Chinese customers and is backed by a 2840mAh battery. The device would be available in Gunmetal Grey, Silver Gold and Amber Gold Colour options.

There is no word on the international availability of the One M9+ but the device is listed on HTC’s .com website which means we could hopefully see it in other markets. The listing also does not include the pricing information and HTC Dot View Case for the device would be sold separately.
