With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge out of the way, rumours have started flying about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and it’s Edge counterpart.
A new Samsung mobile display roadmap has surfaced online, which vividly states that the South Korean based company would release a smartphone with UHD or Ultra-HD display this year. The smartphone tipped to get this high-res is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and productions for the display is expected to start in August.
The Galaxy Note 5 will sport a 5.89-inch Super AMOLED Ultra HD panel which would see its pixel density go as high as 748ppi. While it’s Dual Edge variant is expected to sport a 5.78-inch display with the same resolution but it’s pixel density would go as high as 762ppi.
The fact that the eyes doesn’t seem to recognise any difference in resolutions higher than Full-HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) has seen some companies opt against Quad-HD on their flagship as it is deemed ‘useless’. But the fact that Quad-HD is now becoming a norm, very soon we would definitely get used to UHD
While some companies are sceptical to change, Samsung is not looking like slowing down – with QHD on the S6 and S6 Edge; the South Korean company would want to claim the bragging right for being the first with a UHD display smartphone in the market.
