Intex Aqua Speed HD with 2GB of RAM and 4.7-inch HD display launched for Rs 8,999

The Intex Aqua Speed HD is the latest budget smartphone from Intex Technologies in its Aqua Series of device. The Aqua Speed HD succeeds the Intex Aqua Speed which was announced last month.

The difference between the Aqua Speed and Aqua Speed HD comes in the aspect of screen sizes – 4.5-inch qHD display on the former and 4.7-inch HD display on the latter; asides that every other Specs and features remain unchanged. 

The Intex Aqua Speed HD features a 4.7-inch (1280 X 720 pixels) HD IPS Laminated display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection. Under the hood it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB more space. 

The Aqua Speed HD makes use of the 8MP/5MP camera combination on the rear and front respectively; the rear camera has a LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and 3G. It comes pre-loaded with features such as Air Shuffle, Hot Knot & Smart Awake and apps such as OneDrive (with 50GB free storage for two years), Sashakt Women Safety app and others.  

The Intex Aqua Speed HD measures 8.95mm in thickness, weighs 120 grams, supports Dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. It is backed by a 1700mAh battery and is available in Silver, Sea Blue et Silver colour options for Rs  8,999 ($145).
