Bangladesh Mobile announce Midrange Maximus iX Kane with Bamboo Frame

A couple of days ago, Bangladesh Mobile announced a new midrange smartphone – the Maximus iX Kane. The device comes with mid-range specs and in what would distinguish it from most devices around – it is housed in a Bamboo frame.

Moving to the specs, the Maximus iX Kane features a 5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor which clocks at 1.3 GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. 

For additional storage, There is a microSD card slot on-board for storage expansion (possible up to 32GB or 64GB). On the rear there is a 13 megapixels main camera with LED flash and on the front there is a 2 megapixels camera for selfies and video chats. 

Connectivity options on the Maximus iX Kane includes – GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB v2.0 port and 3G HSPA+.  The Maximus iX Kane supports Dual SIM functionality (micro SIM) and boots Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box with planned upgrade to Android Lollipop OS at a later date. 

Overall, the Maximus iX Kane is backed by a 2100mAh Li-Po battery which is expected to last some hours of usage. The device would be available from the network provider for a price equivalent to around $183 in the home country (Bangladesh).
