The Lenovo A5000 is likened to the A6000 but with some reduced specs; the selling point to this device has to be the big battery capacity which stands at 4000mAh. The device however skips Android Lollipop OS and sticks with Android 4.4 Kitkat but Lollipop should be available soon for the device.

It sports a 5-inch (1280 X 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a Quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400MP GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot on board which expands storage.

Handling photography on the device is a 8MP Auto-Focus/2MP fixed-focus camera combination on the rear and the front; the rear camera has LED flash and as usual the front camera is available for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.

The Lenovo A5000 measures 140 X 79.4 X 9.98mm in dimensions (the thickness is understandable due to its huge battery capacity), it weighs around 160 grams, supports Dual SIM functionality and the battery is said to have quick charging features; plus it charges full in around 3 hours and with just 15 minutes of charge it can last around 4 hours of usage.
