Asus has unveiled the ‘World’s thinnest 12.5-inch detachable (or 2-in-1/Hybrid) tablet and this surely is a follow up to the Transformer Book T300. Dubbed the Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi, it measures about 14.3mm with the keyboard dock included and 7.3mm thick for the tablet alone.
The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi features a 12.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) and a pixel density of 235ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a Dual-core Intel Core M 5Y71 processor clocked up to 2.9Ghz in turbo mode with Intel HD GPU and up to 8GB RAM
The tablet has a single micro USB port and micro HDMI port; connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. 802.11 b/g/n. It measures 317.5 x 191.5 x 16.3mm in dimensions, weighs 1.44 kilograms, runs Windows 8.1 with Bing and is backed by a 30Wh Li-polymer battery that should last up to 8 hours of battery life.
The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is expected to compete with the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. There is no information on pricing and availability yet.
