ASUS ROG GX500 Gaming Laptop with 4K Display debuts At the Computex 2014

Taiwanese company, ASUS has for days now been dishing out new devices be it smartphones, tablets, laptops and hybrid computers at the ongoing Computex event in its home country. Alongside the Hybrid (2-in-1) ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi and the Asus Transformer Book V, the company also unveiled the ASUS ROG GX500– a gaming Laptop with ultra-thin design and 4K display.

Running Windows 8.1 OS, the ASUS ROG GX500 features a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K/UHD) with Asus VisualMaster Technology and a pixel density of 208ppi. It has an aluminium metal body build, weighs 2.2kgs in size and measures 378 x 225 x 19mm in dimensions.

Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7-4712HQ processor (2.3GHz, 6MB L3 cache) paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU and up to 16GB of RAM. Being a gaming laptop, it also features a M.2 SSD running on a full PCIe x4 connection and a dual-fan cooling system for keeping the temperature in check. 

Connectivity options on the ASUS ROG GX500 includes – 3 x USB 3.0, HDMI Port and Mini-Display port. There is no word on pricing and availability at the moment but the device is expected in multiple configurations and should be in markets by the third quarter of this year.
