TCL P618L with 5000mAh battery costs $272

The TCL P618L is the latest smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer and infact it comes with a beautiful design, competent specs (yes, not amazing but competent) and a huge battery capacity. The midrange device is however only available on China Telecom for a $272 price tag.

The TCL P618L features a 5-inch (1280 x 7200 pixels) AMOLED HD display with 2.5D glass design and corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon MSM89c16 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot on-board for storage expansion. 

The main camera is a 13MP snapper with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies; both cameras come with CMOS image sensor. Connectivity options on the device includes – GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, LTE Cat. 4 (up to 150Mbps dowload and 50Mbps upload), Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It supports the following networks  bands – TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, CDMA2000 and GSM in China.

The TCL P618L supports Dual SIM slots, run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, measures 9.15mm thick (72.1 x 145 x 9.15 mm – full dimensions), weighs 162 grams, and is backed by a 5000mAh battery which would give the device around 90 days of standby time. 

TCL is the company behind Alcatel (Alcatel OneTouch) it is likely the latter rebrand the smartphone into an international version.
