LG Lancet is an upcoming Windows Phone for Verizon

LG is seemingly back into the Windows Phone market, the company last used the OS on the HTC One M8 for Windows (HTC One W8) but has been absent from the scene ever since. The LG Lancet would mark the company’s return to the WP fold and it is a Verizon exclusive device.

The LG Lancet would run Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 and a release is expected soon which means it skips on the Windows 10 OS for mobile. It sports a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 pixels resolution TFT LCD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. 

There is a 8GB (4GB user usable) space of internal storage onboard and there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The front camera is a VGA unit for selfies and the main camera is a 8MP snapper with LED flash. The device is backed by a 2100mAh battery and supports 4G LTE (Verizon), Wi-Fi Sense and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Software features such as Gesture Shot, Quick Memo, Live Shot, Soft Light for Selfie and Knock On associated with LG are all onboard. Cortana would also be available on the device There is no word on pricing and when the device would be available for sale.
