BLU Studio C with Android Lollipop OS available in US for $99.99

BLU has announced the BLU Studio C smartphone, an Android Lollipop OS running smartphone but no LTE connectivity. The device will succeed the BLU Studio 5.0 C which was announced last year.

The BLU Studio C is the first smartphone from the company’s portfolio which runs Android Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. The device is backed by a large 3000mAh battery which is expected to provide 900 hours of standby time and 40/24 hours of talktime on 2G and 3G respectively. 

Moving to the specs, the Studio C features a 5-inch (728 x 1280 pixels) HD display with a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood is Quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400 GPU paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internals storage. There is a microSD card for storage expansion (up to 64GB). 

The rear camera is a 8MP Autofocus snapper with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera. Connectivity options includes – Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB 2.0, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G (HSDPA, HSUPA), but no support for LTE connectivity. The device connects to any GSM network in the US – T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCs, Walmart Family mobile and more.

The BLU Studio C measures 144 x 72.4 x 9.4 mm in dimensions, weighs 172 grams, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop as aforementioned, support Dual SIM functionality and FM Radio. The unlocked device is selling for $99.99 in US on Amazon.com and is available in Green, Grey, Pink, Orange and White colour options.
