HTC is currently on a roll in terms of different smartphone popping up from the company, whether it translates into sales is another talk for another day. The company has a new device with the moniker – HTC WF5w which has been certified on TENAA in China.
The HTC WF5w sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB more space.
The device makes do with a 13MP camera on the front and on the back too. It has Dual front facing camera and runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS. With TD-LTE connectivity, the device is expected to be available in China only via China Mobile.
Not known for its slim devices, the HTC WF5w is the slimmest HTC device around 7.49mm (158.7 x 79.7 x 7.49 mm) which sees it dethrone the HTC One E9+ with its 7.54mm thin body (156.5 x 76.5 x 7.54 mm). The device weighs 152 grams.
It is expected to be a Desire smartphone but would have a proper moniker towards launch date and there could also be an international version of the device. Who knows?
