Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G now selling in India for $155

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G is now unofficially selling in India via Mumbai based retailer, Mahesh Telecom for INR 9,999 ($155/€145). There is 3GB of free data from Airtel, free Vuclip Prime Offer for 3 months and free Hungama Premium offer for 3 months.

The company announced the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G alongside the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G and Galaxy J1 4G Smartphones in Thailand around February this year. The budget friendly device is a refreshed version of the Galaxy Core Prime with added 4G connectivity the main highlight of the device. It also comes with Dual SIM functionality, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and some improvement in specs.  

Moving to the specs, it sports a 4-inch WVGA IPS PLS display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB).

Other key specs includes – 5MP rear camera with LED flash, front facing 2MP camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS + GLONASS, 4G LTE-FDD (LTE Cat. 4) and is backed by a removable 2000mAh battery which has a Ultra Power Saving mode. 
 
Even though it comes out-of-the-box running Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G would get the Android Lollipop treatment in some months time.
