The microSD card is more than double the 200 GB maximum capacity currently available on the market from SanDisk. Before you start questions what a 512GB microSD means for device when some barely support up to 128GB, but recent phones from LG and HTC are said to support up to 2TB microSD cards.

The storage card is meant for professional photographers who always want more storage and faster speed process. The Microdia Xtra Elite is based on the Secure Digital standard and feature an Ultra High Speed Standard with speeds up to 300MB/s; it is faster than the 3.0 UHS-I standard and adds a second row of pins. For those device which does not conform with the new standard, the speed will be halved (around 150MB/s).

The company says the Microdia Xtra Elite would go on sale in July for a price around $1000 but that is not the final retail price. There is a smaller version of card which is the 64GB variant which would sell for around $30.
