Gionee Elife E8 launches early as the Allview X2 Xtreme in Romania

Romanian brand, Allview has announced a new flagship specced smartphone – the Allview X2 Xtreme as the device is known is a rebranded Gionee Elife E8 which is yet to be officially announced. 

The Eastern European brand (Romania to be precise) Allview and Gionee has a relation ship that goes as far back which is even before the 5mm thin Gionee Elife S5 which debuted locally in Romania as the Allview X2 Soul Mini.

So it is no surprise that Allview is launching the Allview X2 Xtreme which has exactly the same specs as the upcoming Gionee Elife E8. The device however would be available starting August 15th and will sell at a price equivalent to $554 locally (2199 Romanian Lei). 

Moving to the specs, the Allview X2 Xtreme sports a 6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display with a pixel density of 492ppi, powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.  

The main camera is a 24MP snapper with Dual LED flash, records 4K videos and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. There is a fingerprint scanner below the main camera on the rear, a physical camera button and the camera is said to be able to interpolate to capture up to 100MP pictures.

The Allview X2 Xtreme measures 9.6mm thins, weighs 204.4 grams, supports Dual SIM functionality, DTS Audio technology, stereo speakers, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s UI ontop and is backed by a 3500mAh battery which can provide up to 350 hours of standby time or up to 20 hours of continuous operation.
