Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-760HD) and Acer Iconia One 8 (B1-830) tablets announced

Acer has taken the wraps off the new tablets; both the Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-760HD) and Acer Iconia One 8 (B1-830) has been announced at the Computex 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan. Both budget based tablets are expected to toe the same line as their predecessors and bring some minor refresh (to both hardware and software) in terms of specs.

The Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-760HD) will succeed the Iconia One 7 (B1-750); it sports a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD display, powered by the quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with 1GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. 

The rest of the Iconia One 7 (B1-760HD) specs includes – 5MP rear AutoFocus camera without LED flash, 0.3MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. There is no word on the battery capacity but the device would be pre-loaded with apps and features under the Acer Iconia Suite.

The other is the Acer Iconia One 8 (B1-830) which would succeed the Iconia One 8 (B1-820); it features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD display, powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM and either 16Gb or 32GB space of internal storage. There should also be a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The rest of the Iconia One 8 (B1-830) includes – 5MP rear camera, front 0.3MP camera, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It also comes with Acer Precision Plus which allows users to write and draw on the tablet with either the Acer Accurate Stylus or any other writing material especially the pointed sharpened pencil.
