Acer earlier today announced several devices – amongst them is the Acer Liquid X2 smartphone with Triple SIM slots and we also sighted the newly announced – Acer Iconia One 8 (B1-820) and the Acer Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A30).
Both the Iconia One 8 B1-820 and Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30 run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, are powered by a Quad-core Intel SoC and 5MP main camera. They also use Zero Air Gap and Acer Precision Plus technology on their display.
Acer Iconia One 8 B1-820
The Acer Iconia One 8 B1-820 is budget slate; it sports a 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixels HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap Technology and Acer Precision Plus technology for accurate touch and writing experience. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor clocked up to 1.83GHz with 1GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB space of internal storage options. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion up to 64GB.
It measures 127.7 x 213.9 x 9.5mm in Dimensions; Weighs 355 grams, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a battery capacity which provides up to 8.5 hours of battery life. The main camera is a 5MP unit with 88-degree wide angle lens and the front camera is a VGA unit. Connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The slate has touch based gesture and quick access icons in the Iconia Suite – EZ apps such as EZ Note, EZ WakeUp, EZ Snap and EZ Gadget. The Acer Iconia One 8 B1-820 is available in 10 different colour options; it would be available in North America starting from $149 in July and EMEA in April starting for €179.
Acer Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30 is designed for educational purpose thus it would join the Google Education ecosystem. It sports a 10.1-inch 1920 X 1200 pixels resolution IPS display with Zero Air Gap Technology and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Like the Acer Iconia One 8 B1-820 it also uses the Acer Precision Plus technology that lets it offer accurate touch and writing experience.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.83 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor paired with Intel HD Graphics, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB space options of internal storage and a microSD card slot which expands storage with up to 64GB more space. The slate is expected to offer around 7.5 hours of battery life and supports NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and uses a 5MP/2MP camera combination on the rear and front. It weighs 540 grams and measures 260 x 176 x 9.7mm in dimensions.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 A3-A30 will be available in North America (US and Canada) in May with starting from $299 and selected markets EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in May starting from €299. It also has accessories like wireless keyboard dock, bumper case, protective sleeve, protective film and optional stylus.
