The Acer Iconia Tab 10 is the latest tablet offering from the Taiwanese company and it is expected to succeed the Acer Iconia Tab A3. It is a moderately specced device with the price also reflecting it is very affordable.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 sports a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA IPS display with 170-degree viewing angle and Zero Air Gap touch panel. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and has fingerprint-resistance coating. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8217 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage available. It is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot and is backed by a 5910mAh battery.
There is a lesser version of the tablet which sports the same 10.1-inch display but with a lesser (1280 x 800 pixels) WXGA resolution display, with 1GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and is powered by a down-clocked 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8217 processor. This models uses a 5700mAh battery to discharge its duties.
In terms of connectivity – the slates uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; while the camera combination of 5MP main and 2MP front is understandable. Both tablets runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with no word whether it is upgradeable to Android Lollipop OS.
The more speeced version costs $249.99 while the lesser speeced version costs $199.99; both models are available in Black and White colour option only.
