Acer has this week announced a successor to the Liquid Jade smartphone which was unveiled back in May; the Acer Liquid Jade S as it is known is an upgrade to its predecessor. The Liquid Jade S is credited to be the first 64-bit enabled smartphone due to the MediaTek MT6752M processor.
The Acer Liquid Jade S runs on the 64-bit enabled MediaTek MT6752M SoC with 1.5GHz octa-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion purpose. Other relevant information includes – a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a front facing 5MP camera, DTS sound, LTE connectivity, Dual-SIM capability, a leather like back and a 2300mAh battery.
Physical dimensions of the The Liquid Jade S includes measuring143 x 69 x 7.78 mm and weighing 116 grams. Likewise it runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, but with the chipset 64-bit enabled that seems an upgrade to the Android Lollipop is not far off.
The Acer Liquid Jade S would on December 18 launch in Taiwan for a confirmed 6990 TWD ($225) price tag in four different colour options. The device is said to Launch in other markets including India.
