Acer has announced its first smartphone with the Octa-core processor powered device and other high end specs with the Acer Liquid X1.
The Acer Liquid X1 features a 5-7-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS, powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB with micro SD support and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Acer Liquid X1 boast of an impressive 13MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, Full HD (1080p) video recording; and also a 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options on the smartphone includes: 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS.
Overall, the Liquid X1 is powered by a 2700mAh with no word on length of talktime or standby time.
The Acer Liquid X1 also comes with some distinct features such as the Acer Zoom Fit – which helps adjust user’s the smartphone’s interface to 4-inches when one hand is used in operating the device. There is also the AcerRAPID which allows users pick calls, quickly launch the camera and other apps with the touch of a finger. Also, the AcerFLOAT allows user multitask apps without quitting the app currently being used.

There is no word on pricing for the Acer Liquid X1, it is expected to be availabe in Black and Red colour variants by the third quarter (Q3) this year. Other details would be revealed at the upcoming Computex 2014 event in Taiwan.
