Acer has launched the Acer Liquid Z500 an affordable 5-inch display sized Android device targeted at music lovers. The device features DTS sound technology and Acer RAPIDbuon on the rear for one hand control to launch the camera, unlock/lock the device, pick calls easily and launch apps from homescreen.
The Acer Liquid Z500 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (up to 32GB via microSD card). It also has a 8MP autofocus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording and a front facing camera.
Connectivity options on the device includes aGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and 3G HSPA+. The device measures 8.6mm in thickness and is powered by a 2000mAh battery.
The Acer Liquid Z500 will be available starting September 15 for €149 (N32,000 in Naira) in Aquamarine Green, Sandy Silver and Titanium Black colour options at EMEA countries.
The company also announced the availability of the Acer Liquid Jade smartphone in Europe.
The Acer Liquid Jade smartphone which was announced at Computex 2014 supports Dual-SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
Other features of the Liquid Jade includes a 5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS ‘Zero Air Gap’ display with Corning Glass 3 screen protection, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 13MP rear camera (with an f/1.8 aperture, 0.3 second autofocus, and 1080p HD video recording), a 2MP front-facing camera, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,
Bluetooth, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and a 2000mAh battery.
