Taiwanese device maker, Acer has quietly announced a lite version of the Liquid Z6 from last year’s IFA – the Acer Liquid Z6E. The budget device, which has been listed up on the company’s website, boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Liquid UI and is available for a price tag of EUR 100.
Sporting a plastic body with curved back, the Acer Liquid Z6E has a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) on its 5-inch IPS display along with 2.5D curved glass and BlueLightShield tech. On the inside, it relies on a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in expandable storage space.
In the camera segment, the main camera has been toned down from 8MP to a 5MP AF snapper with LED flash alongside a front 2MP snapper for selfies and video chats. The device has a Dual SIM option and supports 4G LTE networks. A 2000mAh Li-ion battery (removable) is expected to provide up to 200 hours of standby time and up to 10 hours of talk time on 3G.
The Acer Liquid Z6E is already up for pre-orders and will arrive in Black and White colour options.
