Last week, Acer made a couple of device announcements from laptops to gaming desktops and even smartphone. One of those announced is the Acer Liquid Zest Plus – a midrange smartphone with a large-capacity battery. It is expected to sell in the US market for a price tag of US$ 250.
The Acer Liquid Zest Plus has the same UI and design as the Liquid Zest devices announced in February, but comes with a bigger battery capacity – 5000mAh. Judging from devices such as the ASUS Zenfone Max and Gionee Marathon M4, it is expected to last up to two days or more of mixed usage.
Running Android 6.0.x Marshmallow OS, the Zest Plus sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with (1280 x 720 pixels) screen resolution and relies on an octa-core Mediatek MT6735 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera and rear facing 13-megapixel camera. The Acer Liquid Zest Plus supports 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA & 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4 – up to 150Mbps download speed) as well as Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options.
