Along with the Predator 8 gaming tablet, Acer also announced a gaming centric smartphone – the Acer Predator 6. The 6-inch sized gaming smartphone is powered by a 10-core processor but there is no word on pricing and availability details or any potential release date.
The Acer Predator 6 Gaming phone is powered by the only Deca-Core (10-core) processor announced yet – the Mediatek Helio x20 Soc (MT6797). The processor combines two ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz.
The ARM Mali-T800 series GPU is paired with it for graphics, alsong with 4GB of RAM. The tablet has a rear facing 21MP camera which is likely Sony-made, haptic feedback vibrations and front four facing speakers like the Predator 8 tablet. The device also has the same body build as the tablet.
The company didn’t go into details regarding information on the Acer Predator 6; the screen size is expected to be around the 6-inch mark with the resolution unknown.
There is also no word on infos like the internal storage size, the tablet dimensions and more importantly the battery life of the slate which is a major information all gamers would consider before buying.
