Acer has showcased a new tablet targeted at the heavy and serious gamers – the Acer Predator Tablet. The slate was showed off at the company’s annual conference in New York this week. The tablet was announced alongside (and has the same design as ) the line of Predator gaming notebooks and PCs from the company.
Much isn’t known about the Acer Predator tablet in terms of the technical specification. It vividly has a 8-inch display with the resolution unknown but it’s looking likely like a QHD, FHD or even higher res, maybe UHD. The slate would run on Android OS and has four speakers around the edges. It is also said to have Haptic feedback to aid ‘user session of play’.
The Predator tablet also has Dual Cameras, Micro-USB charging and 3.5mm audio jack. There is no word on the RAM, ROM or even the processor; a strong processor would however be employed to be able to match the Tegra K1 or even do better.
Naturally the Acer Predator tablet is expected to rival the NVIDIA Shield Tablet and probably other relevant gaming tablets. Acer has announced the tablet would be available by late 2015 (Q3 2015) so we look forward till then.
