Adcom has launched its second entry-level smartphone from the company with 3G connectivity and its first to run on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with the Adcom Thunder A440+.

The Adcom Thunder A440+ features a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA display, powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-core processor (unspecified), 512MB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot).
The device sports a 3MP rear camera and a front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera. Connectivity options on the device includes Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi and 3G. The Adcom Thunder A440+ measures 8.8mm in thickness, 135grams in weight and packs a 1350mAh battery.
The device has been a priced at Rs 3999 ($65 / N11,000 in Naira); in Yellow, White, Pink & Black colour options. Though the device is not listed on the company’s website, it has been available for sale in markets starting saturday.
“Adcom is pleased to announce its first Android KitKat 4.4 smartphone. With the launch of our newbie we have once again extended the bar of affordability with Thunder A440+ being the fiercest smartphone under the 5K Category. It boasts of all the advanced features, giving buyers a delightful experience,” stated Sanjeev Bhatia, Director, Adcom.
In July, the company announced the Adcom Thunder A430+ budget smartphone with 3G support and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Other specs details includes – 4-inch WVGA 480×800 pixels, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.2MP rear camera; 1.3MP front-facing camera, 4GB of inbuilt storage, microSD card slot, 3G connectivity, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB and 2000mAh battery.
