Rugged smartphone maker, AGM has unveiled its latest device – the AGM X2. The smartphone is positioned as the successor to the AGM X1 and listed on the Chinese company’s website for a price tag of $520. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor and boots Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
The AGM X2 has been certified for IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810G standard i.e it is dustproof, shockproof and waterproof. It features a nearly indestructible metal and rubber design, dual proof gorilla glass and excels in extreme environments including under water (about 1.5 meters).
The device is the world’s first outdoor smartphone with VOC detection sensor. It packs a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB built-in storage, USB Type-C port and fingerprint sensor (0.1s unlock time).

Backed by a sizeable 6,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, the X2 takes about an hour to charge fully and lasts up to 50 hours of talk time and up to 480 hours of standby time.It is also equipped with 12MP (Mono) + 12MP (RGB) Dual Rear cameras with PDAF and Sony IMX386 sensor alongside a front 16MP Selfie camera.
