Similar to Glo’s Jollific8 plan; Airtel Nigeria has launched a plan dedicated to new prepaid customers on the network called Airtel SmartConnect 2.0. The new plan promises up to six (6) times the value of every recharge and with this package, users can enjoy extensive hours of calls and browsing.
According to the company, the Airtel SmartConnect 2.0 is designed to give more value as well as enrich the lives of telecoms consumers, and also empower them to succeed in their personal and professional endeavours. The plan requires a fresh and registered SIM card.
Quoting the words of the Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Ahmed Mokhles, according to him; “… any subscriber who desires to enjoy the benefits of the newly introduced package will need to buy a new Airtel SIM card, register it and recharge to enjoy six times the value of every recharge. For instance, when a new customer recharges N100, he/she gets N600 total airtime value instantly, while a recharge of N1000 gives N6000 instant total airtime value.
For a N100 recharge, customers get N100 in their main account, an additional bonusN250 for calls to all networks and N250 or 50 MB data while the N1000 recharge gives customers N1, 000 in the main account N2,500 for calls to all networks and N2500 or 500 MB data.”
To get started with the Airtel SmartConnect 2.0, customers are required to recharge their lines by dialling *126*PIN#. The main airtime has no validity date while existing bonuses are valid for a week (7 days) but can be rolled over in subsequent recharges within the seven-day validity.
