TCL (Alcatel) has announced a new sizeable smartphone – the Alcatel A3 XL at the CES 2017. The 6-inch device arrives with entry-level specs and boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box. It will be available in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America by Q1 2017 and in Europe by Q2 2017.
Housed in a textured plastic body, the Alcatel A3 XL has a 720p HD screen resolution (244ppi), fingerprint sensor, 8GB built-in storage (expandable) and a moderate 3000mAh battery. It measures 165 x 82.5 x 7.9 mm in dimensions (as thick as the Google Pixel) and supports 4G LTE (Cat.4) networks.
On the inside, it relies on a 1.1GHz Mediatek MT8735B quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. For photography, a rear facing 8MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capability appears alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats.
