Continuing its new naming style for its mobile products, TCL Communication’s Alcatel has commenced sales of a new Mediatek-powered mid-range smartphone – the Alcatel 7. It is available in the U.S market exclusively through MetroPCS for a price tag of $179.99 (the price drops to $129.99 after all offers).
The Alcatel 7 has a 6-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS 2.5D display with 18:9 aspect ratio, rear fingerprint sensor and backed by a long-lasting 4,000mAh battery, which is expected to last 10.5 hours of streaming and 28 hours of talk time on a single charge.
Photography is handled by the 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with LED flash and front facing 8MP camera with flash for selfies. on the inside, the smartphone is powered by the Mediatek Helio P23 (MT6763T) octa-core processor with speeds up to 2.5GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage.
The Alcatel 7 comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and Alcatel’s exclusive Closer TV app for online streaming services and TV Cable.
