Building upon the FIERCE product family portfolio, the Alcatel Fierce 4, yet another pocket friendly has gone official in the US. The phablet sized device is available immediately in the US (nationwide) from participating MetroPCS stores for a price of US$ 69 with eligible phone activation or upgrade (actually US$ 129 SRP with US$ 60 instant rebate). It will also be available at T-Mobile starting this fall.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS put-of-the-box, the Alcatel Fierce 4 sports a Gray Rays finish with silver trim accent and 5.5-inch (1280 x 720) HD IPS Display with . It is backed by a fairly moderate 2500mAh battery and the back is slightly curved for comfortable handling.
For photography, there is an 8MP rear facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, and HDR along with a 5MP front camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens for group selfies.
The device is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and boasts 4G LTE data speeds (B2/4/12). For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
