Alcatel joined the ranks of Lenovo which just released a 5.5-inch sized device with 3000mAh battery. The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 as it is known; succeeds the Flash Plus from 2015, sports a full aluminium metal body build and has the fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. Lunar Silver and Venus Gold are the available colour options.
Measuring 152.6 x 76.4 x 8.2 mm in dimensions and weighing in at 157 grams; the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 sports a 5.5-inch OGS display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Flash Charging that moves the phone from 0% to 50% in half an hour (30 mins).
On the inside, it relies on the octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with ARM Mali-T860 GPU, either 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128GB).
In the camera segment, the main camera is a 13MP snapper with PDAF, OV13853 sensor, dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 76.5-degree wide-angle 5P lens while the front camera is a 5MP snapper with flash, 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. Connectivity options includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n , Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It has Dual SIM slots, Hi-Fi audio, and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
Touching on the pricing, the 2GB/16GB version of the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 costs USD 160 while the 3GB/32GB version costs USD 190. Although prices may vary according to local taxes and conditions, it will be available markets in the following countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
