The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 is the apparent successor to the One Touch Hero, the device has gone official at the IFA 2014 in Berlin.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 features a 6-inch TFT (1080×1920 pixels) LCD display with DragonTrail Glass, One Glass Solution(OGS) and a pixel density of 318ppi. The device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable inbuilt storage (up to 32GB via microSD card slot).
On the rear is a 13MP camera with OIS & LED flash; and a front facing 5MP camera. Connectivity options on the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 includes NFC, Micro USB, LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct functionality and GPS.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 measures 160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9mm, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and powered by a 3100mAh battery. The battery provides 10 hours of talktime and 380 hours on standby time. The device comes with a stylus pen similar to the Samsung S Pen which boasts handwriting recognition capability and supports MagicFlip LED case which serves almost the same functions as the HTC Dot View case.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 would be available in Europe by the end of September for €350, there is however noinformation if it would be available globally.
