Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 goes official with 13MP PDAF ISOCELL Camera and Android 5.1

As earlier expected, Alcatel OneTouch has officially announced the successor to the Alcatel OneTouch Flash – Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2. 

The device will be available exclusively in India on Flipkart starting October 20th. It would also rollout to Indonesia, Malaysia (through online retailer – Lazada), the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Available colour options for all countries are – Mica White and Volcanic Grey.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display with 178-degree wide viewing angle and a pixel density of 294ppi. Powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 MP4 GPU, 2GB of RAM and potentially up to 144GB storage space (16GB native + microSD cards up to 128GB). 

On the back lies a 13MP f/2.0 main camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL Sensor, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and Dual Tone LED flash; the front facing camera is a 5MP AutoFocus snapper with f/2.2 aperture and Soft LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE (FDD LTE: B1/B3/B7 & TDD LTE: B40).

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 has Dual SIM support and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 25 hours of usage (just over one day) of usage on 2G network. There is no word on pricing yet.
