TCL mobile communications (or just TCL), the company behind Alcatel and the Alcatel OneTouch brand has launched the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 (5.5) in China as the TCL i806. It would be available in Black colour option only.
Like the OneTouch Idol 3 (5.5), the TCL i806 has the ability to be reversible i.e once you flip the device upside down, the interface complies with the new direction and you can also make calls with the device facing upside down.
Moving to the specs, the phablet sized TCL i806 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) and front facing dual speakers. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
On the rear there is a 13-megapixels f/2.0 camera with LED flash and a front facing 8-megapixels camera with wide angle lens for selfies and video chats. The TCL i806 measures 152.7 × 75.0 × 7.4mm in dimensions and weighs 141 grams in size.
It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, boots Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box and is backed by a 2910mAh battery which should provide up to a day of mixed usage.
